The National Court Appointed Special Advocate/Guardian ad Litem (CASA/GAL) Association for Children held its annual Awards of Excellence Celebration on October 21, 2020. The Honorable Anthony Capizzi, a member of the National CASA/GAL Council of Advisors, served as emcee of the virtual ceremony, which honors dedicated advocates, judges, board members and staff.
At this ceremony, the National CASA/GAL Association’s 2020 State Director of the Year Award was presented to Alan Abramowitz of the State of Florida Guardian ad Litem Program. This award honors a state director who has taken action to establish or develop the state network and has demonstrated commitment to applying the National CASA/GAL mission, vision and strategic framework at a state level.
