Julie Smythe is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker who has worked with children and families in community mental health and healthcare administration settings for over 25 years. She is currently the Vice President of Child Welfare at Sunshine Health serving youth and families in foster care or adopted from foster care supporting access to needed healthcare services.
Julie has a Bachelor’s Degree in Sociology from the University of Missouri-Kansas City and obtained her Master’s Degree in Social Work from Smith College in Northampton, Massachusetts. She started her career in her hometown of Kansas City where her mother was a CASA volunteer for over 20 years.
