Sarah Young is a full-time faculty member of the Florida Center for Public Management and the Askew School of Public Administration and Policy at the Florida State University. She has been involved in nonprofit organizations since birth, as her family helped build the Ronald McDonald House Charities, and she grew up at All Children’s Hospital in St. Petersburg, Florida. Sarah has worked for AMIkids National Headquarters, providing training on governance and fundraising for its 57 local chapters; for the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, as the Injury Prevention Manager for the Florida Department of Health; and as the Director of Florida for Opportunity Services, a national nonprofit that helps individuals with disabilities find meaningful employment. She also worked as a consultant to help develop the first nonprofit resource center in North Florida, the Institute for Nonprofit Innovation and Excellence.
Sarah has an MBA in Nonprofit Management and is working toward her Ph.D. at FSU’s Askew School of Public Administration. Sarah resides in Tallahassee with her husband and son.
