Tom Robinson

Tom Robinson spent his professional career working for, then leading, some of the country’s most acclaimed advertising and public relations agencies. He graduated from the Wharton School of Business and Economics at the University of Pennsylvania and has combined his knowledge of business strategy with his creative writing skills to shape public opinion campaigns and advocate for a number of causes he cares about. He has served on numerous boards – including many nonprofits, schools ranging from pre-K to graduate universities, special needs education, oral deaf education, environmental protection, suicide prevention, LGBTQ rights, and child welfare. Tom has travelled to numerous state capitals and the United States Congress dozens of times to advocate for passage of legislation, careful definitions in regulatory language and necessary appropriations to assure meaningful care for those who need help.

While working in Charleston, South Carolina, Tom served as a Guardian ad Litem for five years and then joined the Seventh Circuit GAL Program in Florida when he returned to his home in Saint Augustine.

He hopes to contribute his skills to help implement the Florida GAL Foundation’s strategic plan.
